If you haven’t heard about the highly decorated Perry Avenue.in Kensington, I would suggest visiting the area on Halloween day. If you don’t visit the day of Halloween you’ll have to wait another year because “Scary Perry” vanishes the following day.
This annual event (15 years) comes alive at night as thousands of trick-or-treaters fill the streets in the surrounding area. Residents participate by decorating their houses in accordance with elaborate themes, trying to scare any visitors that pass by. Themes for houses in the past have included Pirate Ships, Alice and Wonderland and the classic Dracula’s lair.
“Scary Perry” happens on Perry Avenue, just off University Boulevard in Kensington. The event wraps up at 9 pm.
