TRANSPORTATION: Pay phone

On October 1, 2011 a new law banning all texting while driving took effect in Maryland. The prohibition became law two years ago, but did not exclude reading texts. That loophole has been closed. Now all drivers  in  Maryland  are prohibited from  using an  electronic  device to write, send or read a text message while operating a motor vehicle in the travel lanes of the  roadway. CNS reporter Kerri McCune files the following report:
