PHOTOS: Runaway hose!

PHOTOS • BY DREW BIRD

Professional photographer and Takoma Park resident Drew Bird caught the excitement Weds., May 28 around 6:30 PM when a WSSC temporary water main connector-hose broke. The hose, which connected a Westmoreland Avenue home to temporary water pipes, flipped and gyrated, spraying the vicinity and attracting children like a magnet.

By 7:05 PM a WSSC crew arrived to shut down the impromptu water park and reconnect the hose.
