Arrest Made for Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) “Crack” Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute; Other Offenses
Chief Alan M. Goldberg from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Gregory Anderson, 35, of Washington, D.C., for possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) “Crack” Cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of CDS Marijuana with the intent to distribute
On March 18, 2016, at approximately 3:45 am, Takoma Park Police were patrolling the area of the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue for the report of a suspicious person looking into vehicles. Officers located the person fitting the description given, who was riding on a moped, and they made contact with him and identified him as Anderson. Anderson did not have the required operator’s permit/valid driver’s license of any class to operate a motor vehicle. In addition, the moped was not legally registered or titled. Anderson was detained while officers prepared to impound the moped because it was not registered. An inventory of the moped revealed CDS “Crack” Cocaine and Marijuana in amounts indicative of an intent to sell.
Anderson was arrested, charged accordingly and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit without incident.
Theft from Auto
On March 22, 2016, at approximately 7:15 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 8100 block of Flower Avenue for the report of a theft from auto. Sometime between March 21 at 7:00 pm and March 22 at 6:55 am, unknown suspect(s) entered the unsecured vehicle and stole property.

On March 22, 2016, at approximately 6:30 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the1000 block of Larch Avenue for the report of a theft from auto. Sometime between March 21 at 5:30 pm and March 22 at 6:00 pm, unknown suspect(s) entered the unsecured vehicle and stole property.
