MAY 3 — The 43rd annual Takoma Park House and Garden Tour, presented by Historic Takoma, showcased American Craftsman-style homes last Sunday, May 1. The popular self-guided walking tour featured bungalow houses built in the 1910s and 20s – as are many homes in Takoma Park, MD. Most were one or one-and-a-half stories tall in the Craftsman architectural style. Some were in the Arts and Crafts style, and one was a Prairie style home. The fourteen homes were within a three or four blocks blocks of each other on Park, Spruce, Valley View Avenues and Crescent Place.

One of the oldest on-going annual Takoma Park events, the House and Garden Tour raises revenue for Historic Takoma, Inc. HTI reinvests all the proceeds from the tour in the community.
